Michael Milauskas, Principal
Michael Milauskas is the founder of Jet Set Art and Design LLC. Michael has always enjoyed working creatively and applies that love to every project Jet Set Art and Design undertakes. Michael received his B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University where he first studied drawing and painting. Other classes like Greek and Roman art and architecture gave him a well-rounded education and appreciation for historical design elements.
Michael received an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television where many of those same design elements played a role: composition and framing, color choices as well as creative writing. The concepts he learned at USC serve him today working with video on the web.
In 1996, Michael formed F-Test LLC, a software testing company, with Alan Anderson. Michael was tasked with building the company's web site and so began the long history with web site design. F-Test took on several web-based projects and compared web sites on a variety of browsers and operating systems. This is still a vital part of the web design process today because so many browsers display things differently from one another.
As F-Test wound down, Michael went back to school (Platt College) and earned a graphic design degree and multimedia certificate. Shortly after graduating as the outstanding student of his class, he founded Jet Set Art and Design LLC and has worked with clients across the country and as far away as Africa and South America.

Why We're Better
For local (Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena) clients, we're just a local call or short drive away. For face-to-face meetings that's a plus. Both designer and client can get to know one another personally and establish an ongoing relationship. That has happened so often in the past that clients have really become friends and we care very much about each other's business.
Another reason we excel with clients is that we wear many hats. For all projects, there's the design hat, but for web projects it's not enough to know how to build a site, a developer worth his salt must also keep up to date on the latest search engine industry trends, social networking, customer review sites and more. More than once we've taken over a site from another "designer" who actually prevented a site from being found by search engines. Sometimes it's a sin of omission on the part of other developers that can negatively impact the client.
