Dream It is a company that works with other companies and corporations to enhance their already existing products. They needed a corporate identity from the ground up (logo, letterhead, website). I worked with them to create an appropriate corporate image which portrays their "out of the box" thinking, which needed to be both corporate, yet whimsical. Based on the the logo I created their stationery system and eventually their website. All of these are tied together through design so that each reinforces the other.
I am a member of this chamber and it was a great honor for me when they asked me to help with the implementation of their new website. While they had chosen another firm to build the redesigned site, problems arose and they ended up waiting over a year to launch the new site. When they asked for my assistance, I was able to get the new site up and running within a week. Doubly important to me was the fact that these are people I see regularly and I needed to do good work to keep my reputation intact—trust and honesty with ALL my clients is vital to me. I told them before starting the project that if there is something I cannot do, I will tell them. I never make promises to my clients that I can't keep.
This men's skin care product company came to me
looking for a redesign of their e-commerce site.
Their osCommerce-powered site allows them total
control over products, sales, pricing, shipping
and discounts. I used Flash for their intro page,
which echoes the look and feel of their trade
show booth materials.
Like issimo, Lee was looking to update their e-commerce
site. They also needed additional pages for customer/corporate
information. Although this is a very large site,
they too have total control over the e-commerce
portion of the site and can process orders quickly
and efficiently.
GTMA came to me to complete a design in progress,
which I was able to do for them. Their site is
built in Flash and basic HTML. I have also done
print work for GTMA including their latest annual
report, newsletter and postcards.
Archdiocese of Los Angeles
The Office of Family Life at the Archdiocese needed
an update of their outdated site, portions of
which were very broken. I developed a site for
them which showcased each of the services they
were responsible for. The site was developed
in both English and Spanish versions.
Basket Detectives
This gift basket company in the San Fernando Valley
approached me to design their logo. It's now
used in all their print and online material.
I recently created a 4-color bi-fold brochure
for them.
Capital Churros/Mier's Ice Cream needed both print
and web design services. This Sun Valley company
sells churros to the public as well as providing
sales and rentals of churro carts for fundraising.
Their ice cream distributorship is widespread
throughout the Valley as well. I deigned a 4-color
churro brochure for them, then designed their
dual-purpose website. I have also created the
signs which now grace all of their 50-plus ice
cream carts. They have come to me to design new
logos for various aspects of their businesses.
One of the largest piano superstores in the San
Fernando Valley, this company allowed me to design
their website from the ground up. Even though
I did not perform a full search engine optimization
on the site, I built it to take advantage of
the way search engines index websites. They are
number one on both Google and Yahoo for "piano
Glendale."
This site is a labor of love for me since it's
the website for my father's ophthalmology practice
in the Palm Springs area. I tried for a clean
design and one which is easily readable for those
with weaker vision.
Ron Riley's decorations are exquisite, from balloons
to flowers. However, because the original designer
of the site was no longer available, Ron needed
repair and updates to his site. I was able to
populate his site with new designs and text so
that his clients (and prospective clients) had
access to the latest information.
As with Riley Designs, B.O.L.D.'s original designer
was no longer available. Eric Olson asked me
to provide a printer-friendly versions of his
web pages, which I was able to do very quickly.
This homeowners' association in Central Oregon
needed a way to communicate with one another
and one that would keep communications restricted
to members only. I was able to set up a content
management system for them that allowed members
to post topics of interest, email other members
and which was password-protected.
Pepper Hamilton
This Washington, D.C. law firm needed a site built
to collect information regarding the death of
Chandra Levy in 2001. I was able to create a
simple, but functional site which allows individuals
to provide information to the Levy Family.
This Glendale, California fitness bootcamp has
a dedicated following. They have begun a print
campaign, but needed a website to match. It had
to echo the look and feel of their print material
to provide a cohesiveness for their campaign.
I believe their site to be the best-looking of
all bootcamp sites in the Southern California
area. It was a pleasure to help them achieve
their goals. It also emphasizes the importance
of the impression a website gives. When a consumer
has a choice between site A and site B, if site
A make a better first impression (more professional)
they get the business. This is something I stress
constantly to potential clients whose websites
may not be all they can be.
Z Bookkeeping is a Burbank-based bookkeeping
firm with a rapidly growing client roster.
However, like many business owners, Zinnia Hernandez
was so busy doing what she does so well that it
was often difficult to find the time to develop
a web presence. Now Z Bookkeeping is on the web,
making client contact easier and more convenient.
